Joseph F. Maceyak, age 88 of Jackson Township, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Joseph was born on September 19, 1924 in Hooversville, PA the son of the late John and Susan (Balaz) Maceyak. Joseph was a United States Navy veteran, serving our country during WWII. He worked at Superior Meats as a foreman for 24 years before retiring in 1986. Joseph was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 5047 in Navarre, the Knights of Columbus #554, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed baking bread and gardening. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Mary Maceyak in 2007. He is survived by his children, Donald (Ivana) Maceyak, Ronald Maceyak, Darlene (Michael) Johnson, and John Maceyak; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fr. John Tully will be Officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
