Joseph D. Waer, 83, of Jackson Twp. passed away on May 18, 2014 at home. He was born on September21, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, and formerly lived in New Jersey. He was a Test Bore Engineer with McClymont & Rak Engineer's Inc. retiring in 1997. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and then served in the United States Army National Guard until his retirement in 1990. Joe was a kind and generous gentleman known for his sense of humor. He loved to talk and tell stories. He was a board member of the Scottsbury Glen Condominium Association and the Eagles. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Dave) Kudika of Jackson Twp.; granddaughter, Megan (Chad) Buckland of Jackson Twp.; two great-grandsons, Justin and Logan Buckland. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Waer; son, John and his mother, Regina Marsden. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A graveside service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00AM.
