Joseph Ambrosic, age 68 of Perry Township, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He was born on October 24, 1945 in Barberton, Ohio and was the son of the late Joe and Mary (Habyan) Ambrosic. He graduated from Barberton High School and then went on to serve his country during the Viet Nam Conflict with the U.S. Army. He retired from the Timken Company following 30 years of service. Joe was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 221. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David Michael Ambrosic. He is survived by his wife, Susan C. (Longworth) Ambrosic whom he married on July 15, 1983, his son Chad (Darlene) Stahleker, his granddaughter, Allison, his brother, Richard Ambrosic and his brothers-in-law, Dick (Leslie) Longworth and Jack (Cindy) Longworth. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastors David Saylor and Robert Groenke officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:15 P.M. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. and on Thursday at the church one hour before the service. The family suggests memorials in Joe's name to either St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Road NE, Massillon, OH 44646 or Community Hospice of Stark County, 408 Ninth Street SW, Canton, OH 44707.
