Johnny Will Streeter age 81 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday morning at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on May 28, 1927 in Montgomery, AL to the late Benjamin Streeter and Lula Mae Thomas. John had owned and operated John Streeter Barbershop and later retired in 1998 from Ecko Housewares following 17 years of service. He was a United States Navy Veteran. John enjoyed fishing and weight lifting. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, sons, John Karl Streeter and Michael Jay Streeter; daughter, Christine Roberson; brothers, Prince, Kaiser, Clifford Streeter and George Thomas; sisters, Jane McDew, Effie Morris and Frances Archie. He is survived by his daughter, Adele Marshall of Nashville, TN; sisters, Bessie (Clarence) Goodson of Massillon, Anna Belle Jackson of Texas; grandchildren, Tracy Streeter, Gayland Roberson, Victoria Prowell, Krista Streeter; 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Saturday, October 4, 2008, 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services celebrating John’s life will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Interment will take place at Massillon Cemetery.
