John W. Samson

John "Sam" W. Samson Sr. age 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 07, 2015. He was born in Canton on December 03, 1938 to the late John and Anna Samsa. He was a graduate of Timken High School. He married Amy on June 05, 1998. John was the owner and operator of Samson Steel Fabricating for over 10 years. John was a man of many interests. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and traveling. John had a great sense of humor and nicknames for everyone. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Amy; his daughters Sheri (Tim) Craven, Kelly (Doug) Myers; his son John Samson Jr.; his step-daughter Maria (Matt) Harlan; his grandsons T.J Moretz and Nick Shifflet; as well as a host of family members and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Jean Diel. A Celebration of John's life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 3p.m. The family will receive friends from 2p.m. until the time of the service.
