John W. Dannemiller

John W. Dannemiller, 68, passed away on October 5, 2021, following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on April 9, 1953 to Walter and Esther (Saunier) Dannemiller. He was a 1971 graduate of Hoover High School and received his BS in Biology from Mount Union University. He was a high school football star and also played while he was a student at Mount Union. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, many city committees in the City Government for North Canton, the North Canton Elks, coached youth football in North Canton and played golf in the North Canton Elks League. Following his retirement from Alpin Surgical Specialties in 2018, John loved to spend time with his grandchildren, golf and hike. John is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Martin) Dannemiller, whom he married on April 14, 1987; step-daughters, Melissa Prunty-Pennock and Carianne (Gary) Baird; grandchildren, Hailee, Chloe, Jack, Ava and Sam; brother, Paul (Carol) Dannemiller; special nephews, Jim and Tim; great nephews, C.J and Ryan; and great-great-niece, Isabella. A private family gathering will be held.
