John Stanley Donat

John Stanley Donat, 83, of Ocala, FL, passed away on July 3, 2024 at Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation and Healing of Ocala.

He was born on November 11, 1940 to the late Virgil and Gladys (Steiner) Donat in Massillon, OH.

A 1959 graduate of Washington High School, he received his bachelor's degree from Morehead State University. He played football for both Massillon and Morehead State University. He was a member of Sixteen St. John's Church. John worked as a chemist for Ansell Perry until his retirement. He also enjoyed working the family farm and gardening. He lived in the Massillon area most of his life until moving to Ocala, Fl. in 2017.

John is survived by his loving children, Linda (Michael) Klein and John (Amy) Donat; grandchildren, Kari Klein and Joshua (Jenna) Klein; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Klein; brother, Malvern (Linda) Donat; and special in-laws, Margaret Caudill, Linda Titus, and Suzie (Johnny) Yogadich.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Janis Marie (Titus) Donat.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a funeral service to start at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dana Gammill, officiating. Interment will follow in Massillon Cemetery.
