John R. "Jack" Rossiter, age 85 of Massillon, passed away July 4, 2015. John was born on February 8, 1930 in Massillon the son of Philip and Jennie (Richards) Rossiter. He was a longtime resident of North Lawrence. John retired from Smuckers after 37 years of service. He was very proud of the work he provided at Smuckers. After retiring, he moved to Florida and then settled in Georgia. When he could no longer take care of himself, he moved back to Massillon. His devoted granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband Jeff gave him a loving home. Jack's favorite person quickly became his great granddaughter Kaylee, also of the home. John was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rossiter, and his sisters, Helen Rossiter and Betty Fetter. He is survived by his sons Richard (Lynne) Rossiter and Billy Rossiter; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Avril, Angie, Scott, Jeremiah, Phillip and Billy, Jr. Rossiter and Tiffiny (Pat) Howell; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of John's life will be held on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Matt Doerle officiating at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH.
