John Robert Belch (Bob) Jr., born January 29, 1926, to George and Octa Belch, Passed away peacefully December 1, 2016, at home with his wife, Sue, and Airedale, Scarlett, nearby. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lt. George Belch. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sue, step-son, John L (Jennifer) Reed, granddaughter, Lindsay Reed, his extended family, Porter S. (Nancy) Welch, Porter R. (Molly) Welch, and Tiffany Welch, devoted neighbors and friends, Irene and Peter Sone, and special friend Pauline Persons. Bob graduated from Massillon Washington High School and was a proud member of Massillon Championship Teams of 1941 and 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Buoyant. H graduated from Miami University and began the successful career in industrial sales, retiring from Loveman Steel Corporation. Bob was a past member emeritus of Shady Hollow Country Club, a member of American Legion Post 44 and Grand Lodge F 7 AM of Ohio Clinton Lodge No. 47 for 70 years. He loved to golf and play gin with "The Raiders" at Shady Hollow. The time has arrived to join Baucom, Darrell, Fergie, Miller, Mel, Chuck, Cookie, Fulmer, and Beaber (observing). Hear the echo, "Deal, dammit, deal".
