John Moore Turner Jr.

John M. Turner Jr., age 71 of Plain Township, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was born on March 20, 1950 in Homestead, PA to the late John and Evelyn Turner. He was a 1968 graduate of Munhall High School. John married his high school sweetheart Darlene Vrabel on April 25, 1973, and they shared 48 years together until his passing. John retired from Goodyear in the Sales Department. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on his car, gardening, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren. John was a happy-go-lucky guy with a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Darlene; his daughters Jacqueline M. Kelly and Jennifer A. (Eric Spencer) Turner; his grandchildren Aaron T. Spencer, Xander T. Kelly, Ethan J. Spencer, Simon G. Kelly, and Porter M. Kelly; his sister Diane (Jack) Burnes; his brothers Gary E. (Stephanie) Turner and David O. Turner as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church – 2040 Diamond Street NE, Canton, OH 44721 on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. Father Tom Bishop will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home – 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 6-8p.m. and on Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
