John Michael Tyler Gowins

John Michael Tyler Gowins, age 28, passed away on February 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Ty and Mary Jo (Streb) Gowins on May 25, 1993 in Canton. He attended Central Catholic, where he competed in track and cross country, and he graduated from McKinley High School in 2012. He graduated with a certificate in Horticulture in Cleveland. John Michael worked as a Caregiver for people who were developmentally delayed. He enjoyed video games, spending time with family and friends, and taking care of his cat family. John Michael was a very caring and compassionate person who was willing to help out anyone in need. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving son, fiancé, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He is survived by his parents Mary Jo and Ty Gowins; his fiancé Marshche Banks; his grandfather Calvin Streb and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carol and Jerry Gowins and JoAnn Streb. A Celebration of his life will be held at 3p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends from 12p.m. until the time of the service.
