John “Johnny O” M. Oblisk, age 64 of Jackson Twp., passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on November 10, 2021. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 13, 1957 to the late Lester and Shirley (Snyder). He was a 1975 graduate of Jackson High School. John was a Carpenter and worked for Hund Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and just being in the great outdoors. He was a member of Amvets Post #12 and The Willowdale Lake Country Club. John was known for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his love of animals. He used his carpentry skills to help out family and friends without hesitation. He will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his children Nicole (Corey) Savage, Michelle (Timothy) Oblisk and Justin (Meredith) Oblisk; his grandchildren Jordan Morris, Bella Quicci, and Sativa Oblisk; his brothers Terry (Lorraine) Oblisk, Lester Oblisk and Steve (Connie) Oblisk; his former wives Colette (Ronald) Finger and Kevin Jean Oblisk, his faithful feline companions Crazy and Carmen as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his step-father Adrian Prather. A Celebration of his life will be held on, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 4p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and will be livestreamed.
