John 'Jack' E. Street

John E. 'Jack' Street, Sr., age 70 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015. John was born on April 17, 1944 in Massillon the son of the late John H. and Mildred (Fowler) Street. Jack was a longtime resident of Massillon and graduated with the first graduating class of Tuslaw High School in 1962. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving our country during Vietnam. Jack loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas. He also enjoyed listening to sports and books on tape. Jack really enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Thecla (Tully) Street, whom he shared 48 years of marriage; his children, John (Christine) Street Jr., Paula Mescan, and David (Meredith) Street; his grandchildren, Krystal, John III, Joseph, Jorden, Emilie, April, Tyler, Maggie, Meaghan, and Stephen; his great grandchildren, Christopher and Jaxson; his sisters, Hollis Norris, Coral (Carl) Krites, Joanne Allen and Linda Nickol; his brothers, Jerry (Joanne) Street and David (Imalene) Street; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Newman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Chapel Hill Community or Lions Club.
