John 'Jack' Cochran

John 'Jack' Cochran, 64, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence. Jack was born on May 8, 1949 in Massillon the son of the late Albert and Virginia (Hornbrook) Cochran. Jack was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. He was United States Army veteran and served our country during Vietnam. He was a custodian for the Massillon City Schools for 19 years where the students called him 'Mr. Jack'. Jack will be remembered for the love, fun and encouragement he had with the students, fellow custodians and faculty. Jack loved working on his vegetable garden and ponds, riding his on his mower, watching his sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended St. John Lutheran Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his nephew, Jeff Mesaros. He is survived by his wife, Diana (Byelene) Cochran, whom he married on July 17, 1976; his children and their spouses, Matt (Shelly) Cochran, Amanda (Jason) Eberhardt, and Ben Cochran; his grandchildren, Jaylin, Guhner, and Justin Eberhardt, and Cohen Cochran; his brother, Michael Cochran; his sister, Susie Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held on Tuesday, April, 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Rev. John Telloni will be Officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
