John H. Frieg

John H. Frieg age 59 of Jackson Twp. passed away May 23, 2007 at his residence. John was born June 10, 1947 in Massillon to the late Eugene ‘Gene’ & Eugenia Frieg. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School and played for the Tigers on the State Championship Team. He then graduated from Kent State University and received his Juris Doctorate from Akron University School of Law. In 1981 he opened his Law Practice in Massillon. He was a member of the Ohio & Stark County Bar Associations. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynne (Black) Frieg of the residence. He has four children and a sister: Tammi Barker of Paso Robles, CA, John H. Frieg Jr. of Massillon, C.J. Frieg of East Lansing, MI and Morgan L. Frieg of Cuyahoga Falls; sister, Marilyn (Bill) Austin of Jackson Twp. He has three grandsons; Austin, Carson & Dylan of California. He leaves several nieces and nephews and a so many, many dear friends and acquaintances. He will be remembered and missed by so many people. His funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. His final resting place will be Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM and from 10 AM until the time of the service at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
