John F. 'Jack' Malinowski, 78, of Perry Township, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Country Lawn Center in Navarre. Jack was a lifelong resident of the Massillon area and a 1953 graduate of Jackson High School. He was born on November 13, 1935 in Massillon, the son of the late Clarence and Esther (Bullach) Malinowski. He was a United States Army veteran. Jack worked for the United States Postal Service at the Massillon Post Office and retired from Canal Fulton Post Office where he was Postmaster for 15 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Malinowski. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Larson) Malinowski whom he married on August 9, 1958; his children and their spouses, Kenneth J. (Arlene) Malinowski, Lynn Ann Vinton, Teresa J. (Michael) Gregg, and Denise M. (Bruce) Shimell; his grandchildren, Vanessa, Kylie (Mike), Irene, Maggie, Evan, Austin, Nathan, Ashley, Cory, Derek and Cody; his great grandchildren, Makarah, Bradyn, Zayne, and Kellan; his brothers and their spouses, Leo (Marilyn) Malinowski, Thomas (Judith) Malinowski, and William (Kathy) Malinowski; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Malinowski. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Country Lawn Center for their compassionate care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Rev. G. David Weikart will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
