John E. Thurmond

John E. Thurmond, age 54 of Perry Twp., passed on to be with the Lord on, March 22, 2021. He was born on July 14, 1966 to John and Cleona (Schilling) Thurmond. He married Terri Rehfus-Erbland on March 12, 2004 and they shared 17 years together. John was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt. He was an avid gamer, and devoted fan to professional soccer, Dallas Cowboys, and a big advocate for animal rescue. He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife Terri; his parents; his sister Suzanne (John) Kropp; his daughter Nicole (Chad) Uhlman; his stepson Brock (Angela) Ryan. John adored being “Papa” to his grandchildren Brandan, Nelson, Hartley, Logan, Dalton, Sami “Gracie”, and Zach. Also, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Donations in John’s memory to the Stark County, Humane Society.
