John E. Pendolino

John E. Pendolino, 64 of Arlington, TX, formerly of Massillon, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 following a brief illness. John was born on April 9, 1953 in Massillon the son of John and Virginia E. (Morales) Pendolino. John was a 1971 graduate of Central Catholic High School where he played on the golf team. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University of Akron. He received his Masters Degree from the Ohio State University in Journalism. John worked in the news media for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer and baseball player. He loved supporting his beloved Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He was preceded in death by his father, John Pendolino. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Pendolino of Massillon; sister, Cathy (Craig) Johns of Massillon; nephews John S. (Katie Ward) Johns of, MA and Donny (Diana) Johns of KY; great-nieces Clara Marie Johns and Scarlett Virginia Johns; special cousin, Martha Weldon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Johns life will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. He will be inurned with his father John at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. before the service.
