John Dinsmore Shanor

John Dinsmore Shanor, age 89, died Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was born on August 7, 1917 in Bever Falls, PA to the late Herbert and Mary Shanor. He lived his adult life in Massillon. John retired from Republic Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Jane (Lockhart) Shanor in 1999; two infant children; three brothers, Irvin, Harry & Howard Shanor. John is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Ronald & Jane (Crites) Shanor, Paul & Linda (Yoder) Shanor; daughters & sons-in-law, Jacquie & Bill Crone of Beach City, Jodie & Larry Barron of Massillon; eight grandchildren & eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
