Joan R. Drobney

Joan Rose Drobney 1928-2018 Born in Massillon, Ohio to Earl and Katherine Liebermann Fenton on 29 March 1928, Joan passed away 24 January at Meadow Wind Health Care Center, Massillon Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Drobney and parents. Surviving family members are sister Donna Richards (Robert) of Dublin, Ohio and five children, Thomas Drobney, Joan Parker (Howard), Albert Drobney (Sue) and Stephanie Williams of Massillon and Mark Drobney (Jill) of Dover. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Joan was always a very loving, caring mother, grandmother and sister to her entire family. She was employed by Tyson and Timken and worked to support the troops during WW2. She enjoyed movies, music and dancing as her and husband Al were known to clear the floor at venues like Myers Lake Ballroom. Joan spent a number of years in the Florida Panhandle making many friends while enjoying the beach and fishing. She will be missed by family and friends having been a kind person that always cared. Private services will be held for family on 29 January.
