Joan I. Hill, age 84 of Massillon passed away September 5, 2015 at Affinity Medical Center with her family at her side. Joan was born September 3, 1931 in Massillon to the late Bernard & Isabelle (Reynolds) Reichenbach. She was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School. She was a former secretary at Republic Steel and office manager for Community Calendars. She was president of the Ladies Guild at Central Catholic High School and was a active member of the Massillon Women's Club. Joan was a long time member of Gamma Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Tau Sorority. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Drapeau and Betty Schiffer. Joan is survived by her husband Robert D. Hill (the barber) with whom she shared 63 years of marriage on May 30, 1953. They have two children and a granddaughter: Pamela J. Hill, Robert C. Hill and Miss Natalie Santoro. A sister and brother in law, Connie & Gary Reamer live in Detroit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8 PM. Messages of support and sympathy can be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
