Jimmie T. Russell

Jimmie T. Russell, 90 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, following an extended illness. He was born in Petry, AL on December 4, 1923 to the late Thomas and Mary Russell. Jimmie moved to the Massillon area and married the late Dorothy L. Stevens and that union gave them seven children. He is survived by his children Dale Russell of Cleveland, Gale (William) Ross, Roz (Charles) Atkins, Darlene Russell all of Canton, Diane (Leroy) Rolland, Steve (Dion) Russell both of Columbus and Vickie (Phil) Wang of Martinez, GA; grandchildren Carla (Joe) Carlton, Renee Russell, Stevie Russell, Angie (James) Towns, Billy Ross and Kurtis Russell; great-grandchildren Raeshaun Ross, Keevan Ross, Gamiere Bell, Marcel Russell, Chaniah Hall, Chaneece Hall, Charles Hall and Lucas Wilgus; brother and sisters Walter Russell, Pauline Franklin, Viola Williams and Inez Allen ; a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his grandson JT Russell; brother James Russell and sister Mary Kate Robinson. A private graveside service was held.
