Jesse L. Cecil

Jesse L. Cecil, age 90, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Amherst Meadows. He was born on September 15, 1922 in Tippecanoe, Ohio and was the son of the late Ira and Hattie (Bell) Cecil. Jesse was a Massillon resident for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Infantry. He then went on to own his own construction company, Jesse Cecil Construction. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Canton. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Edith K. Cecil, his son, Raymond Dale Cecil, his daughter Donna Bennett and his sister Irene Cairns. He is survived by his grandchildren, Christine Stephanoff, Nancy Brunker, Larry Moyer, Jr. and Jason Moyer, 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. A private service for the family will take place following the visitation.
