Jesse J. Prowell

Jesse J. Prowell III age 57 of Massillon passed away Thursday April 19, 2007 at Affinity Medical Doctors Campus following a brief illness. He was born May 23, 1949 in Massillon to Jesse Prowell Jr. and the late Georgia Lena Stewart Prowell. Jesse was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School; continued on earning a BA Degree in Business Administration from Northwood Institute in Midland, MI. He was employed at the Timken Company in Canton for 3 years, and then moved on to establish his career in automotive sales. He worked at various auto dealerships and at numerous times, was awarded top salesman of the year. At the time of his passing, he was Partnership with Nutronix International Marketing Sales of National Health Wellness Products. He is a member of St. James AME Zion Church, the Men’s Fellowship and Promise Keepers. In addition to his mother a daughter Jennifer preceded him in death. He is survived by: sons, Corey Dotson of Canton, Jesse Prowell IV of Canton, La Mar (LaQuisha) Pringle of North Carolina; a step-daughter Seritha Copeland of Massillon. His father Jesse Prowell Jr. of Massillon, three sisters: Cathy Prowell-Ursery of Indianapolis, Sylvia Johnson of Massillon and Selena (Jackie) Robinson of Canton. Nephews: Eddie Prowell, Lamont Johnson; nieces, Felicia Prowell; Kim Prowell; Tiskara and Robin Prowell-Ursery. A Celebration and Homegoing of Jesse’s life will be 11 AM Friday at St. James AME Church in Massillon. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the Church.
