Jeri R. Daniels

Jeri R. Daniels, age 75 of Massillon, passed away Monday. Jeri was born June 15, 1936 in Canton to the late Homer &Ruth (Bechtel) Wentzel and was raised in Massillon. She was a graduate of the former Mt. Marie High School. She was employed by Republic Steel and retired from Superior Meats. She was loving, supportive mother and grandmother, who always put her family first. Her personal time was spent reading, going to the movies and dinner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otto 'Putter' Daniels (2006), a sister Evelyn Kessel and two brothers, Morrie & Junie Wentzel. She leaves four children and spouses, Steven (Sharrie Gonter) Daniels, Pamela (Robert) Fothergill, Karen (James) Stenger and Heidi (Donald) Mick Jr.; two sisters and a brother, Sister Eileen Wentzel C.S.J., Patricia DeMarsh and James Wentzel; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Daniels, Janine (Michael) Jennings, Jonathan Fothergill, Nicole Stenger, Katie Stenger, Nathan Bowman, Lauren Bowman, Stephen Mick and one great grandchild, Havyn Jennings. A Memorial Mass will be 10 AM Friday at St. Barbara Catholic Church, her pastor Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until the Mass. Following the burial at Brookfield Cemetery, refreshments will be served at St. Barbara Fellowship Hall. Donations can be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Barbara's Church.
