Jeremy Scott Hannum

Jeremy Scott Hannum, 43, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Jeremy was born on June 24, 1981, the first born son to Scott and Debra (Mitcheal) Hannum.

Jeremy was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1999 graduate of Washington High School, where he played soccer. He was proud to be a Massillon Tiger. He started his apprenticeship in 2002 and completed it in 2007. He worked for Whisler as a Journeyman Pipe Fitter. He was a hard worker and proud member of Local 094 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters (but don't call him a plumber). He loved being a part of the Union Brotherhood. He was a big brother to James, whom he often bragged about being 99-0 against, and devoted father to Marlee. Jeremy loved his daughter Marlee more than anything, she was his whole world. If you knew Jeremy he was always bragging about her accomplishments. If you were lucky to know Jeremy, you know he was always smiling and having a good time. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Marlee Hannum; parents, Scott & Debra Hannum; brother, James Hannum; four legged companion, Marlo; special cousins, Lisa (Matt) McCullough, Christine (Scott) Wells, Joshua (Tiffany) Frailly; numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles who were special to him; and many other friends that were very special to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mary Lou Mitcheal and Edgar and Luci Hannum, and cousin, Trisha Frailly.

Visitation will be held at the Paquelet Funeral on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5-8 pm. A Celebration of Jeremy's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 11 am. In honor of Jeremy give your loved ones a hug, and tell them that you love them. in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at any Huntington Bank under J. Hannum Memorial Fund which will go towards Marlee's College Education. Jeremy would be grateful for your contributions.
