Jennie (Janie) Louise Suttle

Jennie Louise Janie Suttle, 76, passed away December 3rd, 2008 after a long illness. Born Mary Martha Norman on March 31st, 1932 in Dennison, OH she was orphaned at a young age and raised as Jennie Louise Farrow in Massillon, OH. She will be missed by son Paul (Penny) Suttle of Strasburg, OH and daughter Cathy (Leonard) Kichler of Solon, OH, granddaughters Rachel, Diana, Emily, and Laura, sister Norma Reed, 8 nieces and nephews and many friends. She joins her family in heaven: husband James Paul Suttle, parents John Russell and Ida Jean (Wade) Norman, her adoptive parents Charles and Mamie Farrow, sisters Betty June Miller, Clara Durkee, and Ina Mae Norman. A 1949 graduate of Massillon High School, she married her high school sweetheart June 24, 1953. She worked for Ohio Bell for 10 years then devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. A longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Massillon, she then attended Holy Trinity Lutheran in Mansfield during the 1970’s , and she most recently belonged to Solon Community Church. She was a member of the Massillon and Solon Women’s Club. In her youth she was a singer, dancer, and comedienne. Her motto was “always leave them laughing”. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8pm at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 8 at 11am at the funeral home with additional visitation from 10am until time of service. The Rev. Jeff Shultz will be officiating.
