Jeffrey L. Gowins

Jeffrey L. Gowins age 67 of Massillon passed away Tuesday at Affinity Medical Center. Jeff was born May 23, 1941 in New Philadelphia to the late Gomer & Evelyn (Barnett) Gowins. He was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School and retired from Republic Steel. Jeff will be remembered riding his Harley, joking with friends and could meet and be friends to all people. He had a personal trait of helping all God’s creatures, human or animal. In addition to his parents a sister Betty Gowins preceded him in death. Jeff will be missed by his three children and their spouses: Dede (Chris) Calderon of CA, Jeffrey ‘Jay’ (Brandi) Gowins Jr. of Las Vegas and Brett (Corrina) Gowins of Massillon, Linda Brooks, his former wife of 23 years and mother of their children. In addition there are three brothers: Bill Gowins, Jerry (Carol) Gowins, Terry Gowins and seven grandchildren. Services will be 2 PM Sunday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon; the Rev.
