Jeannette R. Kraus

Jeannette R. Kraus, age 84 of Navarre, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. She was born on January 26, 1925 in Navarre, Ohio and was the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Mitzel) Mummertz. She was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Navarre High School and worked for the former Griscom-Russell Company and several local attorney’s. She was a life member of St. Clement’s Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Kraus in 1993, her brother John, her sister Doris and two infant daughters. She is survived by her son Jeffrey J. Kraus, her daughter Lorraine M. Kraus both of the home, her brother Leo (Jean) Mummertz of Massillon her sisters, Lela Mummertz and Rita Schauer both of Navarre and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Clement’s Catholic Church with everyone meeting at the church. Fr. Thomas Cebula will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Clement’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would appreciate memorials to St. Clement’s Catholic Church or the Navarre – Bethlehem Twp. Historical Society.
