Jeannette E. Lewis Jeannette E. (AJ) Lewis (84) of Jackson Township passed away peacefully Friday evening August 12, 2005 in Aultman Woodlawn with her niece and care giver by her side following a long tiring struggle of ill health. Born April 13, 1921 in the loving home of her late parents John & Ethel Lewis in Massillon, Ohio. She was so proud of being a graduate of Massillon Washington High School and being from Massillon. She has lived in this area all her life and was retired from the old Republic Steel Company after 40 years of service in the Metallurgical Department of Enduro Division Massillon. She was a 55 year member of Zion United Methodist Church, Perry Township. She was a very active worker in her church and held many offices plus heading many committees such as the Holiday Food Baskets and the Church Boutique for many, many years. She was most proud of being a China Painter and was a past 1st Vice President of the Ohio World Organization of China Painters and Pass President of the Canton Area China Painting Artists. Painting and giving it away to those who meant so much to her was her first love in life. She was loved by so many and known best for always giving so much of herself and especially her baked cookies. In addition to her parents Jeannette was proceeded in death by her sister and best friend Cleona Lewis; nephew Ernest A. Frick of California. She is survived by her loving niece Ellen Frick; and great nephews, Todd, Chad and Brett Frick of California; a special cousin, Lois Tuttle of Olmsted Falls; God Children, Dr. Ruth Adams of Carson City Nevada and Jonathan Greene of North Canton; two special little guys who loved their Jae so very much Carter Jimmy and Chandler Jae Mueller of Massillon. Other really close family members and nieces and nephews Melvin & Betty Ties of Canton; Denette & Bob Edwards of Massillon; Darlene & Mark Greene; David & Jane Ties; & Darren Teis all of Canton; Dean & Sandy Ties of Malvem; Dale & Candy Ties of Cleveland; and many great nieces and nephews and so many others who loved their Aunt Jeanne so very much. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Stacey Holloway for caring so much and always being there, also Dr. Patricia Rubin and a very grateful thank you to the Jackson Paramedics for all of the times they came and for being so kind to Jeannette. Calling hours will be at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon Wednesday Evening August 17, 2005 from 5 to 8 PM. The services will be at 11 :OOAM on Thursday August 18, 2005 with viewing one hour before at the Zion United Methodist Church at 1023 Whipple Rd. N. W. Canton, Ohio with Rev. Michael Namy and Rev. Deborah Quillen officiating. Burial will be at the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Massillon, Ohio.
