Jean E. Beal

Jean E. (Chovan) Beal age 85 of Massillon went home to be with the Lord Saturday November 13, 2010 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. Jean was born September 18, 1925 in Massillon to the late John & Helen (Stancheck) Chovan. She was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School and was a waitress at the Sugar Bowl among other restaurants. In later years she was a care giver for several group homes. She doted on her grandchildren, garage sales, bingo, euchre, traveling and playing ‘one arm bandits’. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Beal (1969), and a sister, Evelyn Thomas. Jean is survived by three children and their spouses: Randy & Debra Beal, John Beal, Debbie & Steve Ollis all of Massillon; a brother Vern Chovan of Ft. Wayne, IN. There are four grandchildren Cyndi Beal, James Beal, Katie Bizup, Justin Ollis and one great granddaughter Isabella. Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon; her pastor Rev. John Telloni will officiate. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
