Jean Carol Faulds Ilg

Our hearts are broken, Heaven has a sweet new angel, our Grammie Jean. She wasn’t even 5 feet tall, but God packed her full of spunk, kindness, generosity, spirit, laughter, and most of all love.

It is hard to begin to list all that she shoved into her 92 years of non-stop adventures. Some highlights are loving on her family, nursing, playing any slot machine, Leesville Lake with family, spending many winters in Florida, and time spent with dear friends. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family. A devoted Massillon resident- she loved her Tigers. She had a soft heart for all animals, especially her two crazy cats. She attended Grace United Church of Christ, and her faith filled her heart.

“May God grant you always a sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering angel so nothing can harm you.” – these are words she would live by every day.

She was the loving wife of her departed husband William J. Ilg, a former Massillon Police Sergeant. Survived by brother, John Faulds; children; William J. Ilg Jr. (Cindi), Gregory P. Ilg, Patty A. Guerrieri (Tony), Jackie M. Indorf (late husband, Rick), and Steven V. Ilg. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). They will carry in them the lessons and legacy of a one of a kind Grammie Jean. We will end with her best friend and neighbor, Janice Rittmaier- and lastly Annie and Dorothy, her two kitties who miss their mom.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Paquelet Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm.
