Jean A. Stewart

Jean A. Stewart, age 90, of Massillon, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 24, 2023. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to John Thomas and Wanda Anna (Shear) Briggs. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church where she enjoyed being with God’s people. Jean enjoyed visiting with family and friends, sewing, but especially giving out gospel tracts so people could read about God’s salvation and love for them in hope that they would someday ask Jesus to save them from their sins.

Jean is survived by her nieces and nephews and her special friends, Paul and Debbie Smith who cared so lovingly for her throughout these last several years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry O. Stewart, daughter; Esther Jean; siblings: Dorothy Briggs, Marion Briggs, Jack Briggs, Richard Briggs and her twin sister Joan Bartell. She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 3741 Fohl St. SW Canton with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missions at Fellowship Baptist Church.
