Jayson I. Borland, 36 of Perry Township, passed away at his home following a long, courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 19, 2018 with his family at his side. He was born on October 3, 1981 in Canton, Ohio and was an area resident all of his life. He was a 2001 graduate of Heritage Christian School. He was a truck driver with R.G. Smith. Jayson will always be remembered as a family man first, who also enjoyed fishing, boating and barbequing . Jayson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Brackin and Lloyd and Helen Borland. He is survived by his wife, Sarah M. Borland, whom he married on August 20, 2005, his daughter, Laynee, parents, Jay and Linda Borland, sisters, Angie Borland and Yvonne Haney, grandfather Ralph Brackin and several nephews and one niece. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Jayson will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Shafer officiating. Additional calling hours will be on Wednesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jayson’s name may be made to a local charity, NICKSTRONG to support local families at the St. Joseph Federal Credit Union (NICKSTRONG), 1811 Whipple Avenue NW, Canton, OH 44708.
