Jay N. Stanford

Jay N. Stanford, Sr., age 69 of Massillon, died Friday morning at His home. He was born on March 2, 1938 in Massillon and was the son of the late David & Edith O. (Buckey) Stanford. He was a lifelong area resident. Jay had worked at the former Massillon Steel Castings for 28 years and then retired from Heinz Foods following 20 years of service. He attended the Massillon Church of God. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara L. Stanford in 2005, brothers Thomas and Jim Stanford and granddaughter Jennifer Coleman. He is survived by his children, Jay N. (Rosie) Stanford, Jr. of East Canton, Tim (Renee) Stanford of Berea, OH, Darlene Stanford and her husband Kenny Coleman of Brewster, OH, John Stanford of Massillon, Beverly (Ronald) Barnard of Bossier City, LA and Brenda Stanford of Massillon, his grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Jordan, Wyatt, Mikah, Francesca, Samantha, Frank, Tiffany, Rodney & Brad, his great grandchildren, Brevon, Nikkoa, Kayle Devin & Gabrielle, his sister Gwenna Hulderman and his brother David Stanford. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 PM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newman Creek Cemetery.
