Jay B. Willey, Jr.

Jay B. Willey, Jr. age 89 of Massillon, passed away at Saturday morning Aultman Hospital. Jay was born in Massillon on December 21, 1917 to the late Jay B. and Laura (Fenstemaker) Willey, Sr. He was a WWII United States Army Veteran. Jay retired from Republic Steel following 37 years of service as a laborer. He was a member of the McKinley Eagles Aerie #2370 and he enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Willey, sisters; Hilda Stein and Kathren Critchfield, and a brother Paul Willey. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Froelich of Massillon; sons and daughters-in-law. Jay B. (Karen) Willey, III of Arlington, TX and Richard (Charlene) Willey of Massillon; grandchildren, Lizabeth, Claudine, Kate and Jay B. Willey, IV; great grandchildren, Sara and Nate Willey. Graveside services for Jay will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. There are no calling hours. The Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
