Jasper Garrett age 84 of Canton passed away May 12, 2011 at The Pines in Canton. Jasper was born January 10, 1927 in Newton, GA to the late Fred & Juanita (Yarn) Garrett Sr. and moved to Canton 1952. He served with the US Army and received an honorable discharge. Buddy retired from LTV Steel after 32 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Second Missionary Baptist Church where he was one of the van drivers. He loved fishing and was a loyal Indians fan. He was known as DaDa & Daddy buddy to his wonderful grandsons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Hosea J. Garrett (1985), a brother Mose Garrett and a sister Rosetta Small. He is survived by two daughters and a son, LouAnn (Reginald) Lowe and Juanita (Rev. Anthony) Robinson and Travis Minor all of Canton; a brother Fred (Dessie) Garrett Jr. of Perry Hts.; grandsons, Cedric Lowe, Brandon Lowe, Anthony Robinson Jr., Caleb Robinson, Dominique Robinson and Jasper Robinson; a sister Dosha Archie of Lakeland, FL; sisters-in-law Ernestine Jackson of Cleveland and Joyce Garrett of Canton; a devoted friend thru all the years, Frank Floyd and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His Homegoing Service will be 11 AM Wednesday at Mt. Calvary Second Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, his pastor Dr. Eric C. Johnson will deliver the eulogy.
