Janet Marie Burris

Janet Marie Burris, 79, of, Massillon, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Janet was born August 4, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to Louis and Lucille (Melito) Andriotto. She was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School. She married Harry A. Burris JR. on December 9, 1957. They shared 59 loving years together. Janet retired after 30 years as the head cook at Gorrell Elementary School in Massillon. Her greatest pride and joy, however, was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Harry "Pete"; children, Greg (Kevyn) Burris of College Grove, TN, Scott Burris of Hicksville, OH, Todd (Nancy) Burris of Delaware, OH, and Kelly (Tim) Giese of Massillon, OH.; grandchildren, Courtney (Michael) Maxwell, Shelby (Josh) Oury, Danielle Burris, Kiley Burris, Devin Burris, Tyler Langenfeld and Kasey Langenfeld and 1 great-grandson, Reid Oury; sisters, Gracie Newlon and Denise Amstutz and many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Cassidy. Friends may call Monday, January 9, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home, in Massillon. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Sunset Burial Park.
