Janet G. Schmidt

Janet G. Schmidt age 85 passed away Monday in Columbus. Janet was born August 5, 1926 in Massillon to the late Merville & Mary (Ziegler) Myers. A life long resident of Massillon and member of Faith Lutheran Church, Janet graduated from Washington High School, worked at MCA Signs and then retired from the Ohio State Employment Bureau. Janet is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Clarence Schmidt and her two sisters Eleanor Wagoner & Lois Jones. Janet is survived by a brother and sister in law, Paul & Janice Myers of Ellenton, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Rev. Elaine Styblo will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday from 1 PM until the service.
