Janet F. Smith

Janet F. Smith, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She was born on December 15, 1934 to the late Dewey and Della Keith in Akron, Ohio. She married Jimmie L. Smith on June 8, 1958 and they shared 57 years of marriage together at his passing in 2015. Janet’s proudest accomplishment was being a mother to her 4 children, Russ (Sherry) Smith, Lana (Allen) Sarac, Mark (Brenda) Smith, and Marsha (James) Dye. She cherished her grandchildren, Krista, Lindsey, Jordan & Christopher. They all held a special place in her heart. She was also blessed with a great - granddaughter, Katrina, that she adored. In addition to being survived by her children & grandchildren & great - grandchild, Janet is survived by her brother, Ronald (Priscilla) Keith and sister, Ellen Grey. Janet was a proud graduate of Garfield High in Akron, Ohio, and continued her education at Kent State University and Walsh University, earning her degree in Real Estate. There will be a private graveside service. The family invites donations in Janet’s name to Akron Baptist Temple in memory of Janet F. Smith.
