Janet E. Robinson

Janet E. Robinson, age 85 of Jackson Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2019. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, on May 11, 1934, to the late Clara (nee’ Hoffman) and Millard J. McColgan, Sr. She married Robert Wayne Robinson on May 09, 1954, and they shared 63 years together until his passing in 2017. Janet was employed as an accountant for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, OH, for 38 years until her retirement. She was a long time member of Canton Baptist Temple and was actively involved with the Nursery, Mission and Funeral Meals and her Sunday school Class – “The Ambassadors”. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Janet was also known for her generous heart and delicious cookies. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Joy (Fred) Locker; her grandson, Erick (Caroline) Locker; her sister-in-law, Pat McColgan; her niece, Susan Senter; her great-nephew, Michael Senter and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Millard James McColgan, Jr. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 11a.m. at the Canton Baptist Temple. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, from 6-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memory Gardens.
