Jane V. Wilhelm, age 94 of Massillon, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Laurels of Massillon. She was born on February 25, 1914 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late William Hamilton & Eva Elizabeth (Kilway) Kerrigan. She was a lifelong area resident. She worked in the office at the former Republic Steel. Jane was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the St. Mary’s Auxiliary and Rosary Altar Society. She liked to play cards and she had assisted as a Girl Scout leader. She also helped to start the school’s hot lunch program. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Wilhelm, her brothers, Richard, Hugh, Paul & John Kerrigan and her sisters, Mary Smith, Elizabeth Hug and Margaret Beatty. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Mary Jane & Joe McLean of Massillon, her stepson Gary Wilhelm of Nashport, Ohio, her grandchildren, Eric Baecker, Tina (Baecker) Pitre, Annette Baecker, Scott Baecker, Renee Shalosky, Lara Ginsburg, Daniel McLean and Jason McLean and 17 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
