Jane A. Winkler

Jane A. Winkler, age 75 of Jackson Township, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Aultman Hospital following a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 31, 1933 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Walter and Letha (Moyer) Ritter. Jane was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker who loved her family, crafts, gardening and her pets. She was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. Jane is survived by her husband, Glen Winkler who she married on September 26, 1969, her daughter Leanne Johnson of Jackson Township, her stepchildren, Scott J. (Laura) Winkler of Sandy, Utah, Kelley Betz of Massillon and Gay (Ron) Honaker of Jackson Township, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and her brother, Terry (Linda) Ritter of Virginia Beach, VA. A service to celebrate the life of Jane Winkler will take place at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Lynn Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20th from 6-8 P.M. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
