James C. Williams

James C. Williams died on December 9 after a brief illness with his wife of 54 years by his side. Jim was born May 27, 1950 in Paris, Texas to George and Mildred (Lynch) Williams. James is survived by his wife Gay (Weisse) Williams with whom he shared his life since their days at Massillon Washington High School. He is also survived by his children Ashley (Bradley) Clarke and Matthew (Kim) Williams, his grandchildren Jackson, Benjamin, Ryan and Emily and his dogs, Malley and Tura. In addition, his loss is felt by his sisters Peggy (Bob) Mansfield, Mary (Richard) MacMillan, Ginny Baker along with his nieces and nephews.

Jim will be remembered as a hard-working and dedicated family man. He hung up his steel toed boots after 37 years of service from Aqua Ohio where he served as president of the union. Many have received a smile and a wave from Jim as he washed his cars in his driveway during the summer or enjoyed a shoveled sidewalk in the winter. It was Jim’s habit to clear a path so he could take his dogs for their daily walk. But nothing brought him more joy than the watch his grandchildren do what they loved on the field or stage.
