James W. Metzgar

James W. Metzgar, 68, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born in Massillon on June 26, 1946 to the late James W. Metzgar and Betty Renner Metzgar of Massillon. James was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1964. He was a former Secretary and life member of the West Side Athletic Club. James was known for his warmth and his wonderful sense of humor. He is also survived by his son, James K. (Claudia) Metzgar of North Royalton; brother, Ed Metzgar of Massillon; three sisters, Karen (Gene) Kulik of Massillon, Allison (Roy) Fothergil of Florida and Kim Lint of Perry Heights. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Joseph Metzgar. A private inurnment will take place at a later date in Brookfield Cemetery.
