James W. Annen age 82 of Massillon passed away August 4, 2007 at Aultman Hospital. Jim was born July 1, 1925 in Massillon to the late Howard & Geneva (Wiseman) Annen. After school Jim joined the Navy where he served our country in WWII. On September 10, 1945 Jim married the love of his life, Lee (Gessner) Annen. When he returned from the service they moved back home to Massillon, where Jim began working for Nabisco. After Jim retired from Nabisco he worked for K. Hovnanian Homes until May of this year. Jim loved puzzles & reading. He was an avid Massillon Tiger fan & was widely known for making the Obie house number signs seen around town. He was also an avid Cleveland Indian fan. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Richard Annen and Edwin Annen. Survived by wife, Lee (Gessner) Annen of Massillon; one daughter, Lynda & Greg Klein of Jackson Twp.; two granddaughters, Lisa & Bruce Gallagher of Massillon, Lauren Klein of Jackson Twp.; one sister, Doris Weiner of Indiana; numerous nieces & nephews. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
