James Kemper Duvall, 88, of Massillon passed away on January 26, 2014. Jim was born in Lost Creek, WV. He married Patricia Westrick July 4, 1953, she survives him. They have two daughters, Robin (Patrick) Sweany of Alabama and Michelle Duvall of Massillon. Together they have 4 grandchildren: Barry, Brandy, Scott, and Augustine in addition, they have 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Jim worked 25 yrs for Brinks Armoured Car and was a security guard at Washington High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp. for 4 years, served in WWII and was a decorated Marine. Jim received the Bronze Star for outstanding service. He was a soul survivor of his platoon and was " The Last Man Standing". He enjoyed a yearly trip to Niagara Falls on July 4 and going to casinos. Jim was outgoing and fun-loving man who was a devout Catholic and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A celebration of life will be held February 1, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. Friends and family may pay their respects from 10AM to noon. Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. A celebration dinner will be held at St. Joseph School Hall on 3rd St SE following. Please RSVP to sweany.patrick@yahoo.com or 334-344-4751 by Jan 31.
