James R. “Bob” Long, 54, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2019. He was born in Barberton on May 7, 1964 to George Long and the late Wanda Hosey Long. James was a graduate of Perry High School, served in the United States Army and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Edward C. Levy. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. He loved big machines and motorcycles and was a jack of all trades. He liked to go to flee markets and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his children, Ashley Long and Dusty Long both of Massillon; three grandchildren, Michael, Ma’leigha and Myana; three sisters, Carol, Barb and Lisa; Three brothers, Gene, Todd and David; and many friends. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Lorena. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5pm-8pm and on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10am-11am with a funeral service to be held at 11am.
