James Patrick Allen Phillips

James Patrick Allen Phillips, JD, 55, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on The Island of Antiqua on October 25, 2022.

He was born on January 14, 1967 to Charles and Laura (Waggoner) Phillips in Canton.

Jim was a graduate of McKinley High School and The University of Akron. He retired from The Timken Company in 2018 and started a second career with Voss Industries as a quality engineer.

He was a member of The Stark County Bar Association. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Fan. Jim enjoyed driving and taking care of his 1968 Camaro.

Jim is survived by his loving fiancée, Gail Vogt and their fur kids, Benny, June and Athena; mother, Laura Phillips; brother, Charles L.(Beth) Phillips; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Phillips; brother, Ronald W. Phillips; and an aunt, Boneva "Bunny" Johnson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, 11:00 am to 12:30pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a memorial service to be held at 12:30pm in the funeral home. Pastor Jeri Johnson officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Stark County Humane Society.
