On February 25, 2021, James “Jim” Paul Reece passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his Massillon Ohio home. Jim was born on December 21st, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to the late Paul and Fannie (Myers) Reece. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1964 where he was an avid baseball pitcher. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a peacekeeper, storyteller, and had an amazing sense of humor. He was a retired VP of Operations from Ecodyne MRM. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jon “Butch” Butchko and mother-in-law Rose Fratini. Jim leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, wife Angie (Fratini)Reece. His children; Michael (Michelle) Butchko, Mark (Jennifer Fowler) Butchko, Timothy (Eliana) Reece, Thomas (Connie) Reece, Ted Reece and daughter-in-law Anita Reece. His sisters Francis Clayton, Anne Ledbetter, Helen (Larry) Pratt, and sister-in-law MaryAnn Smith. His grandkids; Felicia (James) Wiesen, Jenna (Dom) Wilson, Jessi Reece, Josh Reece, Jacqui (Chris) Diehl, Ashley Reece, Brandon (Jessica) Butchko, Jon Butchko and Alexandra Fowler. His great grandkids; Parker and Noah Wiesen, Jace Wilson, Kennedy and Kyleigh Diehl, Owen and Parker Butchko, Lilly Butchko and Dustin Sullivan. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Butcher officiating. For those unable to attend, a Facebook Livestream will be available Click Here Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 and again from 12:30-1:30pm on Tuesday prior to the service. Final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required. If you are not feeling well, or if you have a compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
